I just felt the need to express how much I enjoy listening to your music. I've been an avid follower of yours since I was 16, when I heard a selection from the deep breakfast cd in Walt Disney world. I've since gained a tremendous respect and insight into music from you. I'm also excited to hear your music playing on the Art Bell show :) I love the new dance re-mix, and hope to see a bit more of this in the future. I'll always be listening

I popped Deep Breakfast into the cdrom this morning when I got to work. Fired up Real Player to catch up on what was new with the space station assembly. "Celestial Soda Pop" and "The Oh Of Pleasure" were playing during the highlights from yesterday's spacewalk. Very cool indeed!!! As if they were destined to be the soundtrack for this mission.

BTW I love your music and I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of "Best Of"

10 years ago it was your music from the album Deep Breakfast, that helped me for the first time confront my own inner beauty. I'm not exactly sure how that happened, but it happened. I love your music and think that it has a certain introvertive quality that is wonderful. I'ts also great to play when making love. Thank you for the sharing of your gift.

Dear Ray.
I was first exposed to your music via the introduction
music for "Dreamland" (Art Bell).
While browsing his [Art Bell] web site, I was able to
locate the title of the music that I found to be so unique.
My birthday was coming up and I was asked what I
would like. My request was for your CD (Deep Breakfast).
As fate would have it, I didn't get my request.
What I got instead was your CD, Ray Lynch, Best of.
If this CD is any indication of what I can expect
from your other CD's, you can be assured I will be
shopping for them in the near future.

My best regards and thanks, Tom Greany

Rarely in my life have I heard as beautiful music as that of Ray Lynch. The only way to enjoy such music is to turn out the lights, close your eyes, and let the music take you into worlds you have never experienced. The movement of the music is like the movements of a celestial universe where thought and feeling have no bounds and whole lifetimes are lived in seconds. The mundane disappears into heavenly flights and creative geometries that only your soul can understand. My life has been immeasurably enriched by Ray's music. His work is a concrete example that higher states of mind exist and that mind is, above all, a supreme creator in its own right. I'm listening to his music now as I work on my computer and no matter how many times I have listened I still feel uplifted. Thank Ray for the music and please tell him to keep writing it his way.

Dear Ray,

I would like to thank you for your newest offering to your humble admirers.

I was a Clarinetist for about 13 years before I had to give it up and start on a new path in the realm of Graphic Design. I can understand how music can affect and touch your life in many ways.

I had first heard your music in the early 80's, and since then I kept on listening.

Strangely enough, I didn't buy an album until your best of Ray Lynch hit the music shelves.

I have always liked the " Oh of Pleasure " and especially "Celestial Soda Pop". My other favorite artists are as follows Constance Demby and her " Novus Magnificat / and Set Free" albums, " Tangerine Dream, ( almost all of their albums ), and a new guy in the business Nicholas Gunn, ( I can't remember the names of his albums, but they were good too).

Thanks for your time and the wonderful gist of your music. You deserve all the praise that I've seen from your letters.

I can't wait to hear more from you.....

My warmest regards,

Vince Deatras....

My introduction to Ray Lynch was courtesy of a Denver area station, KHIH. At one time, it was a New Age station and was hooked into "The Wave". At the time I found this station, they were playing "Rythm In The Pews" and "Celestial Soda Pop".

I was just building my New Age library at the time and had to add Deep Breakfast to my collection. As much as I enjoy those cuts, my favorite by far is "The Pleasure Of Oh".
When I need to escape, I will put on my headphones and let the music engulf me. I have never found anothe piece of music that seems to be so in tune with my pschye.

I can't say enough about how much I enjoy the music of Ray Lynch and I anxiously await the release of a new CD.

Dear Ray,

It was ten years ago and I was just nodding off to sleep when a New Age station in Chicago played "Celestial Soda Pop." I didn't sleep at all that night for all the wonderful imagery it conjured up; I hadn't heard anything so rhythmically and melodically clean and subtle and 'alive' on the radio. I listened in vain for the credits to the song afterwards; there were none and I figured it was just a chance meeting, never to be repeated. The music lingered in my mind, though, and I found myself listening everywhere for it, humming whatever I could remember of it, and imagining what I couldn't hum. Anyone who's ever met and then lost an intriguing acquaintance knows what this feels like.

A couple of years later I was in Paris with my French class, and we stopped in a small bookstore, where I heard "Soda Pop" again. The clerk pointed out your album to me, and I (rather mindlessly) paid the equivalent of $28 for it on the spot. It's been more than worth it; Deep Breakfast was my very first CD (had to buy a player just for this album!) and it is easily my most-played.

Your music was my accompaniment as I first thumbed through the photos and souvenirs of that Paris trip. When I committed to writing as a vocation, it was while listening to "Falling in the Garden." These and many other fond memories are inextricably tied in with your music, Ray. Thank you ever so much for loosing your creativity on the rest us; it's always inspiring and fresh, a much-needed tonic in this tired world.

A devoted fan,
David Bowden

Ray,
I just wanted to let you know, I have enjoyed your music for 10 years now, it started back when I was in the seventh grade. My old History teacher played it for my best friend and I one day towards the end of the school year, while we shared a pizza on the front steps of the tiny Junior High School. My history teacher never knew how much your music got to me. I went out and bought the tape Deep Breakfast the next day, listend to it until it just plain wore out. I didn't know where to find another one until last summer, I was looking through some cd's at a yard sale and bought your cd from there. I listen to it frequently again and have shared it with many friends, including the same little girl who sat on the Jr High steps with my old History teacher and I that first day. She loves it too. I didn't realize you had so many other ones out. I will have to go in search for them, Celestrial Soda Pop was the one that got me hooked at first, but have since then enjoyed all of them on that cd. Thank you Ray!

Dear Ray:
It was a few years ago that I had worked late into the night after a very very long day and was finally returning home on a rainslicked Glendale Freeway when I first heard "The True Spirit of Mom and Dad" on the radio. As the rain came down on my windshield, I was moved to tears of such joy that I'm sure you CAN imagine, having created such beauty. I was almost lost in time and distance as I made my way home that night listening to your music.

The next day I went on my search for this "No Blue Thing" I heard the night before. Upon listening to it I fell even more in love with you musical vision. I shared it (a tape) with my very young daughter at the time and she too would ask for "No Blue Thing" when riding in my '84 Toyota pickup. Alas, the '84 pickup was stolen one day along with "No Blue Thing". For too long a time I did not, could not, listen to Ray Lynch as other things in life seemed to prevail.

And then last summer took me to Kuai with my family and my mother for what turned out to be an extraordinarily special vacation and timein our lives together and apart...my mom lives back in Iowa. I convinced Mom to join me on a helecopter ride over Kuai. It was a truly remarkable experience, even for me, even though I have logged many hours aloft. For Mom, it was beyond that. But as we descended into the Volcanic crater in the highest of Kuai's mountains, our piolot switched the CD to "The True Spirit of Mom and Dad". I lost it (again) and asked him who recorded it. I'd forgotten. He said "Ray Lynch" and we made some sort of connection on inquiry as I could read a very friendly sort of "But you knew that" in his eyes. Thank you, Ray! I'm listening again.

Ray: I love Deep Breakfast and no Blue thing. Today when I was hearing No Blue thing I was falling asleep in my bed (no offense, i was VERY tired) but suddenly track four began (drifted into a deeper land) and then i was between consiousness and unconsciousnes, and i got the idea that i was in a place. It was a place I created listening to your music, and it was such an incredible experience. You know, for all those fans reading, i get the idea that Deep Breakfast is a world, and every song shows a part of this world and songs are some kind of related, showing different faces of the same. And maybe deep blue is some other kind of world (like Ray Bradbury's october country).

Well, that's just a crazy idea that ocurred to me today, so, fans out there, wether you are against that or not please write me.

Before Ray I never heard music so simple and so complex... it is the escence of something i cannot quite describe, and yet it is displayed so naturally.... as if each song was perfect and eternal and Ray Lynch captured them (that's what I feel, I don't mean to take out any credit).
Well, as you can see i'm a little bit crazy...
Keep up the perfect work Ray!
PS: if anyone is interested in writing a new age song with me we can do it by mail or something! please write!

Dear Mr. Lynch

I have recently become acquiated with your works,
and am totally blown away. Never Have I recieved
such raw emotion, from a single peice of art. The levels and
depth of intrigue and beauty which you breath into into each
peice, is rivaled only by Keiko Matsui. I find myself
listening to your music, each note seperatley as one word
and then writing down what I hear suddenly I have whole
conversations. These conversation are then added to my
stories. Many have not found a place yet but will.
Your music is one of the few than I can not listen to
without giving full attention to it. I follow along with
each new sound and paint brush rush through my mind creating
wonderful landscapes. Your music is such an insipration that
I have managed to talk my college English teacher into using
as a reading, rather listening requirment!

Thank you so much for your gift to me. I hope someday I may
give you something in return.

Luck, Love & Life
Barry

DEAR MR. RAY LYNCH:
I CAN TELL YOU THAT NO OTHER MUSIC HAS MAKE FEEL ALL THIS MARVELOUS SENSATIONS. SINCE THE VERY FIRST MOMENT I HEARD "NO BLUE THING" I KNEW YOU ARE THE BEST NEW AGE MUSICIAN EVER.
THE FIRST TIME I HEARD FROM YOU WAS IN 1991, AND BELIEVE ME, SINCE THEN I HAVEN´T MISS ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTIONS.
I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE RECORD "NOTHING ABOVE MY SHOULDERS BUT THE EVENING".
I WAS VISITING MY FAMILY IN L.A. WHEN I ADCQUIRED (BOUGHT) "THE SKY OF MIND" AND "NOTHING...".

BY THAT DATE I ALREADY HAD THE FIRST TWO RELEASES: "NO BLUE THING" AND "DEEP BREAKFAST" WHICH I BOUGTH HERE IN AGUASCALIENTES (WELL, AT LEAST THE FIRST ONES FROM YOU IN THIS CORNER OF THE WORLD).
AND WHEN I LISTENED TO "OVER EASY" I THOUGHT: "HEY!, THIS IS NOT RAY LYNCH". AND SO ON WITH THE OTHER ONES IN THE ALBUM.
DON´T ASK ME ABOUT "THE SKY OF MIND". BUT BELIEVE ME. YOU CAN´T REALLY IMAGINE HOW IMPRESSIVE IT HAS BEEN FOR ME TO DISCOVER THE GREATNESS IN YOUR COMPOSITIONS.

subject: Greetings and request for your contemplation

I am new to you. Just got "RL Best of" and am being internally tickled. The Music of What Happens is complex and meaty--I enjoy it very much along with other cuts. I know composition is not something that can be requested but for an outsider to suggest to an insider a thought field sometimes yields a result which has its own life. I live in an area rich in the traditions of pottery. Seagrove, NC, is just down the road. There are 90-some pottery businesses there. (besides being artists, each and every one is an independent business-person). Your music could envelop the rising of the clay and take it through the kiln and come out permanence from humble mud, brightly glazed and full of flowers. thank you for your music and your time.

subject: How the "Deep Breakfast" CD Touched My Life

Dear Ray,

I have a unique story to relate to you about how your music touched my life. I lived most of my life in New Jersey near the ocean and have focused much of my master's degree on marine science. I also have been a dancer since age four and have been teaching dance for a number of years now. I currently direct a community dance school and dance company in New Hampshire.

Last January, I went scuba diving in Florida (another of my passions) with my Coral Reef Ecology class. During the course a guest lecturer gave a slide show on Yap and Palau. This moving underwater slide show used your "Deep Breakfast" CD as accompanying music. I didn't know if I was more moved by the magnificent pictures before me or the inspiring music attacking my senses. I could hear the music in my head each day as I dove the magnificent coral reefs. It seemed as though nature was calling me to action on her behalf. I was so taken by the music that I ran out to get it immediately upon my return to New Hampshire.

When I returned to dance classes I announced that the dance company would be starting on a series of dances in commemoration of 1998, the International Year of the Ocean. Company dancers ranging in age from five to thirteen made a group field trip to the New England Aquarium to see the grace at which marine organisms move in the water.

My students dance in unison with the grace of kelp in the ocean - their aqua blue costumes shimmer like the sea. It gives me chills everytime I see them dance. Part of it is just the excitement of seeing them in motion, a close group of intelligent, talented young ladies who are so important to me - but to see them move to such deeply spiritual music brings tears to my eyes. The girls truly enjoy dancing to your music.

Thank you, so much, for your inspiring music.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Scherr

subject: Request for Information, Please

I purchased "Deep Breakfast" after hearing a friend play it
in our car pool. I purchased the CD and share the music
with others when I drive. I recently purchased the "Nothing
Above My Shoulders But The Evening" CD, and was disappointed
that the selections on "Nothing Above..." were so dissimilar
from those on "Deep Breakfast." Please let me know which of
Ray Lynch's compact discs contain selections more in the
style of all the MARVELOUS [my taste] selections on
"Deep Breakfast," as opposed to the ones on "Nothing
Above...," which, unfortunately tends to cause me to nod
off while driving.

Thank you kindly for your help in this matter.

Long ago I wrote you about my handicaped stepson Jason (Favorite Letters). Now deep in the moutains of North Central Georgia we still listen and enjoy your work. As long as we have your music there is color in his darkness and a smile in his soal.
