     With album sales in excess of two million copies (without performing), Ray Lynch is one of the top-selling "New Age" musicians. Through word-of-mouth alone, " Deep Breakfast " became a classic of the New Age genre, and was the first New Age independently produced album to go Gold, and later became the first independently produced New Age album to be certified Platinum by the R.I.AA. Lynch has won three New Age Billboard awards, and all of his albums have been in prominent charting positions on Billboards New Age Charts.

     Although many of Lynch's music ardent fans do not classify themselves as "New Age" music buffs, leafing through the unending stream of his fan mail, one finds letters from all walks of life. A trucker in Ohio insists New Age classic " Deep Breakfast " is just the thing for soothing the rigors of the long haul, a judge from the Circuit Court in Indiana states the music is thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing, and a clergyman in Vermont says New Age album " No Blue Thing " is a constant companion, and a body worker from France claims "The Sky of Mind" is Ray's best album.

Respected throughout the music industry as a trendsetter and compositional genius, Lynch has resisted the pressure to serve up albums in rapid-fire succession, choosing instead to take the high road, assuring that each New Age release captures most closely the original spirit and intent of the project.

Even if you don't recognize the name, you've probably heard music from THE classic Ray Lynch album. It was ten years ago and I was just nodding off to sleep when a New Age station in Chicago played " Celestial Soda Pop ". I didn't sleep at all that night for all the wonderful imagery it conjured up; I hadn't heard anything so rhythmically and melodically clean and subtle and 'alive' on the radio. I listened in vain for the credits to the song afterwards; there were none and I figured it was just a chance meeting, never to be repeated. The music lingered in my mind, though, and I found myself listening everywhere for it, humming whatever I could remember of it, and imagining what I couldn't hum.
