Mr. Lynch,
You will never meet me and you will never see me.
Yet, your album "Deep Breakfast" has thoroughly helped me get through some difficult times. Sometimes I look back at those times and think to myself "What if I didn't have the music?".
For helping me, I thank you. For making music, I thank you.
Thanks.

Back in the 80s when I was like 6-7 years old, I was suffering from very bad insomnia and anxiety. My parents tried everything to help me and nothing worked. One day in the car they popped in the new cassette of Deep Breakfast and I exclaimed how much better it made me feel. They instantly bought me a copy and a cassette player and I've been hooked since. I am now 43 and I have seriously listened to Deep Breakfast and No Blue Thing every single day for closing in on 40 years. It's so ubiquitous with my daily life I don't even think about it anymore, it is truly the soundtrack to my day. Only when Spotify did a year recap today did I realize how much I listen to Mr Lynch. You could say he and his music have been the most influential thing in my life. He is and will forever be a daily presence and I just would like to thank him for all that he and his wonderful music has done for me. |

I stumbled upon your music many years ago while shopping for a new receiver in a Circuit City sound room. Celestial Soda Pop was playing. I was immediately hooked. I left CC (I didn't buy the receiver) and drove to Tower Records (a few miles away), where I bought Deep Breakfast, which I think was your first album. I purchased all of your subsequent albums and listen often. Thank you for your brilliant, profound yet soothing, and thoughtful compositions. i suppose each listener will hear something different, which is the beauty of music as it speaks to us. I find Ray's music both celestial and hopeful. Thank you, Ray, for sharing your music and inspirations. |

My family and I wanted to let you know how much the Deep Breakfast album means to us. When we were kids and our mom wanted to wake us up on Saturday mornings to do chores, she'd blast Deep Breakfast throughout the house to get us up and moving. Now, almost 30 years later, we still love this album and it gets us up and moving. One of my sisters and I share a business, an art gallery in San Diego, and we play it to keep us motivated and also for our visitors who come into the shop. One of my other sisters is a teacher and she puts the album on for all of her kids when they are working on projects. It's our mom's birthday this Friday, so we collectively got her the vinyl album to play on Saturday mornings again :) Thank you Ray for creating this record and gifting us such fond family memories that continue to live on! With gratitude, The Adelman Family |

Hi Ray, I want to let you know that your music, especially "Deep Breakfast" has been an inspiration as well as a good friend to me for many years now. When I had gall bladder surgery in 1992, my recovery was difficult. But I listened to your album over and over and over, and your music helped me get through it and recover more easily. I was introduced to music as a healing agent, which eventually led me to train for the Music for Healing and Transition Program, where I learned to play the harp for those who were sick and dying. I also play for many elderly folks with the intention for them to be happy when they hear me play and sing. Thank you, Ray. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to let you know! I recently had surgery again, and I've asked my Alexa play your music over and over again, which has brought me healing and happiness! I wish you love and healing energy into the future and always. Hey Ray,
Huge fan of your work, especially love Deep Breakfast (duh) and No Blue Thing. I used to just think of your music as just study music, something that you put on in the background, however I found myself stopping and just listening to it over and over. Eventually I sat down and really listened to the music and was blow away. The creativity and uniqueness is something I admire. I hope you continue to do amazing things and create amazing music. I also hope that you are doing better since the fire a few years back.

Hello and thank you for the excellent music Ray! I have been a fan of your work since roughly August 2008 when I purchased the Grand Theft Auto 4 video game and heard "The Oh of Pleasure" in its soundtrack. That song later turned me onto your other classics like "Her Knees Deep in Your Mind", "Ivory", "Your Feeling Shoulders", "Clouds Below Your Feet" among many more. I typically listen to your music when I need to calm down and relax, or study for my college work. Thank you once again, I hope you, Kathleen, the cats, and everything is going great. |

Many years ago my parents wrote to you after a devastating injury to me when I was seven years old. We received a autographed poster of Deep Breakfast. For quite some time, your music was able to smooth me to sleep during a difficult period in my life. I'm now 35-years-old and have been playing Deep Breakfast to my 5-year-old daughter since she was a baby, always helping her fall asleep. Your music has transcended generations and, I'm sure, will continue to do so. |

I first encountered Ray Lynch's music when I was around roughly 12 years old. A friend and his parents took me with them on a trip to Brown County, Indiana, and I heard a kind of music I had never encountered before in some sort of an art and crafts boutique shop. The music was from "Deep Breakfast". I wish I knew exactly when and where it was! I bought the album and, over the years, have since purchased every single album. Many, many things have changed since I was 12, but one of the constants in my life is Ray Lynch's music. I hope Mr Lynch is well today and still interested in writing music after he finishes that book :) |

It was 1991 when my high school friend Garrett lent me several cassettes, including No Blue Thing. I had long been a fan of instrumental new age music, and was finding it harder and harder to find on the radio. A year or two later I bought a boxed set of Ray's first three albums, including the amazing Deep Breakfast. I had heard Celestial Soda Pop years ago but never knew the name, so that was a very happy reunion. It's been over 20 years, but Ray Lynch's music never loses relevance in my mind. Each song identifies with a mood, without any lyrics to interfere with my own thoughts. It takes its place alongside other greats such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Jan Hammer, and John Tesh as the soundtrack of my life. |

Wow, it has been a long journey through music listening to Ray I was first introduced to "Celestial Soda Pop" when I was 14 years old, after that I went and bought the then Audio Cassette tape and played it until it broke. I have bought all of Ray's albums over the years and I have to say I have never been disappointed, my favorite track being the remix of Celestial Soda Pop. I can never say though how thrilled and excited I was to recently receive a signed copy of that CD, thank you so much. As luck would have much like my introduction to Rays music I have been bless to have a daughter who like myself listens to it and again like myself way back then she is now 14 and loves Ray's music. Again thank you for all the years of great music you have bless myself and my family with. |

GRACIAS. THANKS! |

I grew up on Deep Breakfast. My dad used to play it for us children on long trips to keep us calm. The love of your music stuck. A few years later in a particularly low point in my life I got very drunk and decided to end it all. Then your song came up on my playlist. Your soothing music and the childhood memories it brought up gave me pause. So I decided to pull up the whole album and listen to it. I drifted to sleep listening to the tranquility. When I awoke the next morning sober, I began to put my life back together again. I am now fairly successful and have a great family. I owe it all to your genius. Thank You Ray Lynch. Your music saved my life! |

Mr. Lynch, My name is Chris and I'd like to share some of my story with you. My experience meeting you began when I was very little in the late 80's. My father found a connection with your melodies and would never let go. He passed that trait on to me. I have been deployed around the world, in conflicts that would make even the most die hard question their beliefs. I tried to write you while in Balad Iraq, but my message must not have reached. It was in Balad while working in the OR that Rhythm in the Pews came on and my hands started to settle themselves.
I just wanted to let you know that your songs have helped me and many like me. They have lifted me in the toughest of times and help me find strength in the hardest. It's something with your rhythm and melody, it soothes. Not to take up too much of your time but thank you, from the heart. Chris G- Combat Medic OIF 07-09, US Army |

So I’m digging around in my iTunes folder and there, in a folder with the misspelled name ROY Lynch, are the tracks from Deep Breakfast. Like finding an old friend. I wore out the CD when I bought it, actually wore it out, and I really didn’t remember buying it on iTunes. A flood of memories. And a sudden thought: Where the heck is Ray Lynch? Haven’t heard anything from him in a long time. Is he okay? Are you okay? I hope so. You were a very good friend to me in the 90’s when I was trying my own hand at composing. Or, should I say, Deep Breakfast was. I thought it would be really cool if I could write something as wonderful as Celestial Soda Pop or Pastorale. If you want to hear what happened while you sat on my shoulders, all those years ago, search soundcloud for Jeff Norberry. The music left me a while ago. That’s all there is left of it there… on soundcloud. I hope the music hasn’t left you. I hate how that feels and it would be gruesome if you were experiencing the same thing. So…old friend… I just wanted to stop by while I was in this neighborhood of my memory and say “hi”. . Hi. Sincerely, Jeff Norberry |

I first heard this recording on KPFT in Houston when I was about 18 years old. I was driving and I had to pull over to take in what was being said. For me it was a fork in the road. It was entering the stream. Later I was able to make a poor off the air cassette tape of this which lasted me for at least 20 years. I searched for a better copy. I have most of Ray's music in my collection. It has been there decades. I was not aware of Ray's connection to this production until recently. |

At 3 in the morning when he went off the air he would play the music when he signed off. It would wake me out of a sound sleep and I would listen to it unti lI fell asleep again. It took me forever to find ou the name of the music. Went right out & bought the CD and all your others. "The Oh of Pleasure" is like an old friend. I then did something I'd never done before, I called and ordered the CD right then and there. I cannot tell you the feeling your music gives me---there's really no words to express it. I think at the time it was PEACE,the closest description at least. I'm now 771/2 and still play No Blue Thing. It's dangerous in the car because I feel like I want to "fly" with the music. LOL Thank God for your lovely talent, I certainly thank him. |

Just a note of encouragement in your efforts on your book. Tying the varied subjects together seems a titanic task but your intelligent, enlightened and reflective compositions give one hope that your writings will be equally profound. Soldier on, stiff upper lip and all that.
On a different note, (pun intended) Thank you for helping me inspire a young musician to occasionally cast aside the break neck pace of pop culture and reflect on the subtleties of melody and harmony, consonance and dissonance, and the importance of space and silence in music. The Vanished Gardens of Cordoba is her favorite of yours.
Have you ever been approached to score for movies? You would be great at it! |

It not only restores the person I desire to be, but affects this change in a very deep sense in that it lingers long after the song has ended. I cannot express enough in words how grateful I am for you and your music! I know you have a large fan base, and my simple comments could easily get lost in the mix, but I felt compelled to write and thank you again for sharing your craft. Your music -- your gift to the world -- helped me get through some very rough times in my childhood, indeed it saved me many nights when I thought I had nothing left. I always had your music, and I am forever grateful. Today, it inspires me in my art and writing, and it calms my son when he can't fall asleep. No other modern composer's work has been such an inspiration to me as long as your songs have been.
Much love, Lilith M. |

I recently discovered your music Ray and I must say that I haven't been able to stop listening. I first heard "Celestial Soda Pop" at the Stone Mountain Park Laser show and fell in love with it. It took me months before I discovered the name of the song and I listen to it every day before going to school. I have also discovered your other songs and I never cease to be amazed. You are what I needed when times got rough so hats off to you and thank you for your creations. They are more than greatly appreciated...Love always. |

Ray- It's April 2011, Sunday morning, and I am reading my newspaper, drinking my coffee, and listening to "No Blue Thing" for the gazillionth time. Never tire of your beautiful work. Your music has been a part of my life since I first heard it when first released.
On an impulse, I just checked your website. Sad to see that there is nothing new, and wonder how you are doing. I know "fans" can be presumptuous, but please accept a note of care and friendship. I hope all is well with you and yours.

I noticed in your Q and A, you talked about how music is presented nowadays with a visual stimulus and how even when people's eye's are closed, they still visualize things. I often listen to Deep Breakfast and think of Space; Galaxies, Nebula's, stars, and just floating. Its one of my favorite albums of all time, please release new material soon! |

I can't believe I never came across your music before, but I'm so happy that I eventually did. It was used in a Youtube video section, and I immediately knew I had to track your music down. I ended up ordering Deep Breakfast from Amazon, and now that I know about this site will probably order more w/signings.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful music with the world, especially in the beginning without a label behind you. My only question is why you stopped composing, especially in the old MIDI synth style. There are still fans out there that would eat this stuff up, you've got such a unique style.
Regardless, thanks again for sharing your art with everyone. I wish you good health, and I hope that if I ever get an ambient / new age album out of my own one day that it is able to touch as many people. |

Hello Ray.
I remember back when I was a little kid. Maybe 3 or 4, my grandma would play your albums at night as I would fall asleep in her living room. I can remember how much I always loved hearing those songs play as I fell asleep. Still to this day I LOVE hearing those songs. I'm stationed in Korea and it's a great way to unwind after a day of work and relax. I also like to think that your music is what produced my musical talents. I love producing all kinds of music (mainly rap) on FLStudio but they always seems to have a Ray Lynch feel to them now that I think about it.
I love your music Ray. I think the whole world should too.
Sincerely, PFC Smith |

Sadly the tape has not survived the many moves that i've been through since then but I was thrilled to find your website.
Thank you for your music. It has helped me in ways i can't even begin to touch on. It's also some of the funnest music i use for my at home ballet practice. |

I was introduced to Deep Breakfast by a teenage friend of mine whom I've lost touch with. He used it between acts in a high school theatre production of Flowers For Algernon. Every time I listen to it or come across it again, I remember my friend, how well we got along, and the play. But this is not all. The music also mentally takes me to new places I've not been before. Waterfalls, beaches, oceans, flying through clouds, etc.
I think the gremlins like this album as well. I seem to have lost the copy I got to replace my first one (also lost), and will be buying it a third time soon. |

Many years ago, I stumbled on two albums: The Sky Of Mind and Deep Breakfast, bought in a bookstroe. The music, playing in the background, immediately caught my attention. That was what compelled me to buy them instead of the other item I had come in for. Heck, forgot what that one was. I then proceeded to look for more and eventually accquired No Blue Thing which, by the way, had also been the title of a pop song written by myself back in 1981. To this date, I have not grown weary of listening to these albums, not just as background, but up close and personal. Ray deserves kudos for taking new musical technology and proving that it does not have to come across as cold, sterile, but can and does come across with gracious beauty and warmth that I personally believe is much needed in the world right now. So, I drop by, as a result of a revisit to Ray's Myspace page, to give kudos of my own, for whatever these are worth.
Great music Mr. Lynch.

A long time ago, somewhere between 87-90, I was in a store in Galena Illinois and heard Deep Breakfast. I wrote to you at the time, telling you how the sound of the music echoed the "universal yes". Kathleen wrote back, amazingly. Her letter is tucked away in my drawer of treasures. It is now 20 years later. Unlike other music of a bygone life era which calls a meloncholy, your music awakens the pull of all that is to come. Instead of the soundtrack to what has been, it is the "stuff" of creation, the essance of spirit, the melody of non-linear time. It is not experiences in sound alone, but color, temperature and taste. Tangilble and scented. As if you shuffle the immortal coil for just a while and drift within the color on the breeze.
20 years and still as new and surprizing as it was at first listen. Dreams are the memories we have all but forgotten...and music is the doorway to the eternal.

The Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground over at the Studios park is one of the few places left at Disney World where your music plays in a continuous loop (paired with the likes of David Lanz, Paul Speer, and even Tangerine Dream). I've worked in that location for close to two years now, and the music never gets tiring to listen to. I even have all of the tracks that play on the playground in my car to listen to on the way into and on the way home from work. Thank you for contributing your music to the playground's soundtrack...it paints a beautiful picture which complements the playground's ability to bring children together from all over the world to play and laugh with one another. |

Dear Ray, or would I say my dearest Ray? Now I'm listening to Her Knees Deep in Your Mind, and I feel the old same peace. I don´t know why, but your music seems to ease my soul, when I´m in an altered state of mind I always come back to your records and take that pill. And it´s strange, because I listen to this kind of music daily, and nothing like your recordings. Wonderful. Always, since I discovered your music, by early 1990's. I really don´t expect your feedback, but I would be very happy if you do. Thank you very much. |

Mr. Lynch,
I have been been a fan of your delightful music since the age of 17. The Sony headphones that I once wore listening to " Deep Breakfast " have long disappeared into obscurity, but your timeless music still lingers on within my head. Thank you for sharing this wonderful aural journey with us. And in these unpredictable social and economic times it is a nice place to retreat and discover a bit of solace. - raven |

When I was a baby I had lots of trouble sleeping. In fact, my mom couldn't do ANYTHING to get me to sleep. A friend of hers then suggested playing some soothing music for me and gave her a copy of Deep Breakfast and No Blue Thing. I listened to one of these two albums while falling asleep from infancy until I was in 8th grade.
Once it became "not the cool thing" I weened myself off of my bedtime music-- which wasn't easy! Now that I am in college, the knowledge of what exactly I listened to for so many years had long been forgotten. Until tonight, when I stumbled upon your website. I was able to purchase the two albums on iTunes and from the first few seconds of play time, I was immediately calm and soothed.
It is amazing to me that music can have such a profound affect on every aspect of life. While many may consider me a "normal" college student, I will never forget my roots or the things that helped shape me during my childhood. I truly contribute much of my nature and being to your music Mr. Lynch. And that is a very very good thing. These songs are ones that will never leave my head, because while I had "forgotten" for so many years, I could still always play them in my head and return to my own personal piece of nirvana. |

The entire album fits so perfectly with watching nature and seeing a new day dawn. This music has brought us such joy that we played Deep Breakfast to my belly for my entire pregnancy and even played the album during my labor! Thank You for the amazing and inspirational music! |

In March 1998, visiting the US for the first time with my family I stood in a shop at the end of the pier in San Francisco and heard Deep Breakfast playing. I was blown away, never having heard anyhing like it before. I brought your album back to England, started my design business, eventually collected all your albums and have played them over and over especially when in need of inspiration. The always take me back to the US and I just have to close my eyes and instead of being in London I am on the top of the great divide looking out for eagles or down by the ocean spotting otters at Pacific Grove or driving down the Oregon coast or ......
Now approaching 62 I am planning to do less design and more painting - in oils on canvas - my lifetime passion alongside music - and I would love to hear new music as I paint!
So thanks, maestro, for all the tunes and the inspiration over twenty years. In the words of Carly Simon ~ Nobody does it better.
best wishes

I first heard your music somewhere around 25 years ago. It's rare to find music that touches your soul in such a profound way. When this happens, you don't see music the same way anymore. It's music that touches all the senses - there's colour, motion, texture... It's beauty in the true sense. Thank you. |

I have been listening to your music for 20 years… I love it so much! It is so rare it seems to be able to find music that you can put on and listen to over and over again, and still want to hear more. I have went through several stints of sleeplessness and even if I did not have a c.d. player or tape player (originally) I could put the music on in my head and it never failed to put me to sleep every time. My kids (age 2, 5 & 9) all love it and ask for your music to be put on every night at bedtime, coupled with only one other c.d. (The ‘Antarctica’ Soundtrack By Vangelis). My family and I would love to hear more of your music, and we where hoping there might be plans for some new music to come out soon! You are very talented and the world needs more music as timeless, imaginative, inspirational and powerful as yours. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our entry. Our lives have been blessed and forever changed by your music; we shall never forget the beautiful journey that you have taken us on and we feel fortunate to have been introduced to something and someone so awe inspiring. |

Over 2o years ago, I discovered the wonder of Ray Lynch in Old Town Gatlinburg TN. An outdoor vendor was playing the Deep Breakfast album. As my wife and I heard what to us sounded as a voice from heaven, we were both instantly captivated and became life long fans. The music helped to soothe the soul of a troubled Viet Vet at that time and still today I find tremendous comfort in Tiny Geometries. I live in a world filled with violence and human disregard for one another. Sometimes I wish I could just get the whole world to sit down and listen to this one piece of total harmony and beauty. If I could, perhaps the human race would be a little kinder to each other and to the planet. |

Awhile back I did this disney college program, which placed me as a custodian at EPCOT center's future world. Among the buildings there, there was this obscure place called "Wonders of Life". All I knew about it was that it had closed a long time ago and would probably never reopen. On a whim one day, I snuck away and went to check it out. The building itself was beautiful, using colors and patterns I'd never seen, but what really got me was this song that was playing in the background, which I later found out was 'Celestial Soda Pop', by you. Although the building was off limits to the public, for some reason all the lights, videos, and equipment and music was kept running. One of my favorite ways to pass the time was street magic. I did alot of simply tricks for children in the park, my favorite being the Hummer Card. I started sneaking away a lot more to stand in the pavilion and practice my illusions when your song came on. I didn't know why, it just made me feel that much more magical, and thus improved my self-confidence. Towards the end of my career there, the pavilion opened for two weeks, before closing down for good and shutting off the lights and soundtrack. It was a very sad day for me, I felt like that place and your music had done me much good. I used to be very shy and introverted, and the idea of approaching unknown children to entertain them with toys and tricks seemed like something out of this world. You gave me confidence and seemed to imbue me with some sort of presence I'd never felt before. I don't think Disney gave me any magic, but you certainly did. That person I was is gone now, I don't know if he'll ever come back. But shortly after I returned home I did research until I found your name, and purchased Deep Breakfast, then No Blue Thing. To this day I still enjoy both. They put me in a tranquil place. I always wanted to write beautiful music like what you have done. And listening to your songs, I feel like I can do anything if I want it enough. Thank you. |

Mr. Lynch, my mom is Kim Fotter (formerly Kimberly Lambert of Phillips, Maine)and she's told me all sorts of stories about how her and your daughter used to get into trouble, most notably the time she sliced her hand while cutting lettuce or something. Anyway, we had a copy of your album Deep Breakfast at my house and I used to listen to it all the time while growing up, and I recently rediscovered it. It was quite the rush of nostalgia, and I thank you for that. |

What else can I say Ray? Thank god mom is still around... Hope to hear new music. |

Today I decided I had to find out why Ray Lynch hasn't produced more than the 4 albums that I have. It is somewhat sad to discover your great talent is dormant. Rarely does a day go by that I don't listen to one or another of your compositions. Currently I listen to 'The True Spirit of Mom & Dad' and 'Falling in the Garden' as part of my wind down music before going to bed. I sleep much sounder after hearing your music. Mr. Lynch, I love your work. It is simply wonderful. I have been listening to your music for as long as I can remember. According to my mom, my brother introduced me to Deep Breakfast when I was very young. He himself heard of it when he was in the military; if I remember correctly, someone he knew there listened to it to help relax and fall asleep. I have always loved Deep Breakfast, from the moment I first remember hearing it. It's so mysterious and magical. I hope you will release a new album someday, I see I am not the only one craving your work! Thank you for sharing your gift with us. |

Your music is so great, when are you going to release a new record. I got the Ray Lynch Best Of...I must admit that the two new songs are nice, although I don't care much as a listener for the 'vocal percusion' bits in Ralph's Rhapsody, not my thing. Besides that, please give us another great CD, I am truly hungry for more of your exploration of sounds and multilayered pieces, please a full album, I want to relive anew Deep Breakfast and No Blue Thing (if that is still your sound)...whatever, give us more please! |

In 1986 I was in a one-of-a-kind record shop in Austin, looking for something unique. The clerk handed me Deep Breakfast. At first listen, I knew I had found a something that will be revered and emulated for a very long time. Thanks to good old CDs Deep Breakfast sounded as good this morning as it did 20 years ago. I hope we will have another alblum soon. |

I bought 'Deep Breakfast' from a store at South Street Seaport, NYC in 1988. The tape never left the deck in my car! About two years later the car was broken into and the tape was stolen. I tried to find it in the UK but eventually gave up. I was recently back in NYC and started thinking about the album again so thought I'd try and track it down on the web - so here I am. Great to find the album again after all this time. I've just listened to the sample download of Celestial Soda Pop - brilliant! I'll have to try the rest now!! |

Purchasing Deep Breakfast was the smartest thing I ever did in College. Some of the most wonderful and passionate moments I spent in college were brought on by a Celestial Soda Pop induced trance...I can't explain it but this record is the most powerful aphr*disiac I've ever experienced...it worked so well I married the last woman I listened to it with. Thanks Ray, you are my hero! |

Ray, you need to know this.
My mother came across your Deep Breakfast album--how, I don't remember--when I was in 5th grade. She played it on her stereo one day, and I was HOOKED. I was 10.
I ended up borrowing the CD from her and listening to it constantly. I'd listen to it on the airplane when flying to visit family, I listened to it at night while going to sleep, I'd listen to it while cleaning my room or relaxing in it..
It never ever dawned on me that it had been released when I was only two years old--even now, it kind of boggles my brain to think about that because that record, to me, is practically timeless.
Thank you for making such a beautiful album. I adore it to this day, and when people ask me to recommend music to them, Deep Breakfast is always one of my choices that I throw at them. |

Hi Mr. Lynch,
I accidently awakened to you music during a rather dark stage of my life. It was the 80's and I was truly lost and could not find enough stability to get my life together.
I fell asleep earlier just surfing radio stations and somehow ended up with a show called either musical starstreams or hearts of space. I had never heard such music before and it held me spellbound. I found a calm in my storm and have been able to hope ever since. Your music is simply beautiful. I even thought I saw you in the now gone Crows Nest music store in Chicago long ago and even if it wasnt I like to pretend it was. (dont ruin the story :-)
Anyway, I use your music and the rest of the new sounds I discovered for all aspects of my life. I found music for work, play and creativity in my art. I have not developed (to my confidence) enough to attempt a showing but I humbly smile that some of my paintings hang in livingrooms in at least two states... only a handful but I could not have done it without the music.
Thank you, thank you so very much. I am so grateful to have found it. Thank God for the Arts and artists, and thak you for being one of the prisms. Sincerely georgia clark
p.s. I love cats too... I have two... and their image is hanging on my livingroom wall ... Be well Mr. Lynch |

One night I was sitting in my room and I heard Celestial Soda Pop. I had never heard this song before and listened intently. I imediatly loved the sound and went to my dad's room were the music was coming from. My showed me the CD and I wondered why I had never heard it before. As my dad started DJing just for the fun of it he played Deep Breakfast as he set up and I began to here the rest of the songs and love them. When i got home I borowed the CD from my dad and fell in love with the music. I then began finding out more and bought your Ray Lynch Best Of CD and my brother got No Blue Thing. I love the voice effects on Ray Lynch Best Of and the remix also rules.I love every song of yours I've heard and I'm saving up my money so that I can get the rest of your CD's. I love your music, keep at it. |

Dear Mr. Lynch
I can't find words to tell you how much I like and enjoy your music. I wrote to you in the early 1990's my very first letter, but back then I couldn't speak English very well. I grew up with your music in my native country Poland. Your music was always and is still with me from the moment I heard it for the first time. Your music puts me back in time and it works like the time machine I have always dreamed of to have especially in my profession as paleontologist. When I listen to The Oh of Pleasure from the album Deep Breakfast I am immediately carried back in time millions of years to the Jurassic or Cretaceous time.I can't even remember how many times I have listened to The Oh of Pleasure, but I think million times. I have also collected all of your albums and was and still am waiting for your new releases. I hope you will make new music. The autographed picture you sent me when I wrote to you for the first time is the best souvenir I got and a souvenir I never thought I will ever have. Thank you very much for your music Mr. Lynch. I wish to add to this letter one more thing, that I listen to your music when I am in the badlands looking for dinosaurs in places such as Wyoming or Montana and it is just such an amazing experience to listen to it in such places where is a total silence especially when there is a beautiful sunset in front of me. A total beauty and spiritual food for my soul. Amazing, beautiful, and simply the best. I love this music very, very, very much.
Thank you Sebastian |

Dear Ray,
I would like to thank you for creating an ensemble of the finest music ever produced. In a world cluttered with superficial, however transient and marginally satisfactory music, it is your music which transcends other types and artists in a way only discernible to those who have heard your music. While I do listen to other forms and styles of music, it is your music that calms me in times of trouble, makes me happy in times of sadness, and makes me tranquil in times of unrest. When asked who my favorite artist is, I plainly respond with your name. Many people have not heard of you and it is to my chagrin that more have not yet had the opportunity to experience your incredible music. Thank you again for everything.
Very Sincerely,
Chris C from Chicago |

Dear Ray,
Thank you for all the great music you have given us over the years. I have been a Hospice nurse for over 13 years, attending thousands of terminally ill in their homes during that time. I have lost count of the number of patients who are fans of your music and use it in their daily routine to help alleviate symptoms. I have heard Kathleen's Song played by several families at or near the patient's death as a source of comfort. I hope this does not bum you out, but your music is very comforting to many who are ill. It is a very precious gift you share with all of us. Again, I thank you.

Hello Ray, I am just getting around to thanking you for the wonderful music you have written and produced for so many years. I was a high school biology teacher for about 25 years and have for the past 10 years been a professor at Pepperdine University where I teach a course on methods of teaching science for teachers. I started my first experimentation with the use of music in the classroom with Celestial Soda Pop back in the 80's. I am attaching a story that will be part of a book I am publishing next year on brain compatible learning. This story starts a chapter on how to use music in the classroom. I thought you might enjoy it. It's way past time for me to write and say thanks for your inspirational music. I listen to many other artists but always find myself going back to your powerfully written music filled with emotion and excitement. Thanks Ray, for all you have done to enlighten and entertain with your musical creations over the years Warmly, Raleigh Philp Pepperdine University |

A friend of my sister's lent me the cassette of No Blue Thing in 1991, and I was hooked, and then about a year later I saw the boxed set of all 3 of your cassettes up to that point, and had to have them. My favorite song of all is Rhythm in the Pews. I have since learned that among other places you studied at UT Austin. I was only there for a year but I'm still proud to consider you a fellow Longhorn.
It saddens me that more people don't appreciate your type of music... I used to hear cool stuff like your Celestial Soda Pop, Jean-Michel Jarre's Rendez-Vous, and Jan Hammer's Forever Tonight on the radio and the Weather Channel all the time, but all I hear on those stations now is smooth jazz like Kenny G which really doesn't do it for me. |

Dear Ray~
One day many years ago, I walked into a store that sold many beautiful things. Polished rocks, crystals, telescopes, and music among other curiosities. It was there that I first heard Celestial Soda Pop gently cascading from the store's speakers. I was probably 7 years old at the time, and it transformed me instantly. When that song would play I could be anything; I was a princess one day, and a butterfly the next (or both). As I got older, it became a way for me to travel spiritually. Very few things in this world are capable of gripping and reaching anyone who experiences it. We all have our own interpretations, but your music, your work, your ART... this is something that is so unbelievably strong that it is physically tangible and emotionally breathtaking. You have allowed my youthful dreams to continue on for over a decade. Thank you for putting your soul on display. The body of your work has allowed us to discover our souls through yours.
Sincerely, Princess!

When I was 11 yrs. old and living in suburban Florida there was little to feed my immense imagination. Around this time however I discovered a station called 98.7 The Wave, there they played New Age, Jazz, and Offbeat Rock. One of the songs that struck me was Celestial Soda Pop by Ray Lynch. I got the cassette tape and loved the whole thing. For the rest of my life there after it remained one of my all-time favorite albums. The music never failed to pull images and strong emotion from my soul. Now that I am older and realize that there are ways to reach out to people, it is my pleasure to thank you for all that inspiration. I listened to it today in fact! I was inspired by a recent incident. I was given a gift certificate for a massage at a posh Spa, it was my first. As it was over, I went into the locker room where I was certain that I was hearing familiar notes from the speakers above...could it be?, I thought. As I continued to listen in deep pause, an attendent asked me if everything was all right. I replied, I think I know this music. She said that happened to a lot of people, they mistook it for the movie of a soundtrack or such. I told her that I believed it was a New Age artist called Ray Lynch off of his album Deep Breakfast. She was astounded, No one has EVER recognized a piece of music that specifically! I told her that when I was a young teenager, I was really into New Age music and this was one of my favorite albums. That's so cool!, she replied, I love New Age music! and she proceeded to recommend a specific album of her own. After I got home, I replayed the album to make sure that I wasn't mistaken. I wasn't. I had not known the name of the specific song, but the melody I knew by heart. I laughed as I read the title, Your Feeling Shoulders. Of course! |

In gassho, I find your music is part of a small collection that can really make me transend the immediate and make me feel like I am somewhere else, deep within but yet far beyond from moment to moment. Not an easy thing to do but you have managed ever since you put out Deep Breakfast and then the others after it. When I feel I am slipping in concentration of meditation practice, I go listen to your 3 albums and find I am once again centering and grounded. Thank you for your great material and what is does for each who hears it. My only other comment would be to ask when the next toally new album of this stature is coming out? |

Dear Ray, I first wrote to you when I was only 15, provoked by the powerful connections with your album Deep Breakfast. In my traumatic years of adolescence, you brought soothing and strength to my spirit. I wrote and most importantly, you wrote back with an autographed poster of the album cover. I cherished it for years! You called me Beth, a term that showed personal endearment from a man of importance. I was introduced to your album through my dad who listed to your music in moments of deep reflection and sadness, he always seemed to be relaxed afterwards. Anyhow, having visited your website for the first time I am deeply touched by how others have also felt the magic of your compositions. You unwittingly speak a language of the soul that remains in the definition, miraclous. Do not write music for us, because than you will interrupt the flow that comes from somewhere deep within yourself and the connection you have to another place. Each piece that is composed is meant to heal someone, and it may not be for the majority, but the minority are just as important too. We love your music and are grateful for your intuitiveness to write it. Thank you. |

Ray,
You're the best. I've been listening to your music since I bought Deep Breakfast; that must've been nearly 15 years ago. Your music played a role in inspiring me to study electronic music as a grad student at NYU.
Quick observation: None of your music is on Rhapsody, the on-demand streaming music service I use for most of my tunes these days. It'd be great to find your albums there soon.

Where do I begin? I first listened to your Deep Breakfast tape, back in 1989. I heard it in a little Celestial shop in the mall and immediately bought it. When I brought it home, I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with it. I was in a beautiful place in my life at the time, and your music completely fullfilled me. Unfortunately I wore it out and hadn't listened to it until today when I heard some bits on my computer. (I thought about it often, but hadn't heard it nor could find it in any stores.) When I listened to it again, it brought back memories that just overpowered me. Deep Breakfast, to me, is the most erotic music I've heard. It seems to have it's built-up, climax, and then the wind down complete in its stages. This is the perfect music for massage & more. Tiny Geometries is like beautiful raindrops falling on your back as you're lying naked outside. Celestial Soda Pop is the most beautiful sound to your ears. It fills your mind to an orgasmic stage. The power it has behind it is overwhelming. The playfulness between the high & low pitches fully embraces your mind. The Oh of Pleasure is the wind down to such the climax. You are TRULY a GENIOUS and every time I hear your music, it puts me in a reborn state of mind and I'm ready to smile at the world. THANK YOU, Thank you, thank you! |

Some years ago I returned from a holiday in the States clutching cassettes of Deep Breakfast. I passed them on to friends, and wore mine out. I missed it. Last year I gave up my career to write full time and knew the only music that would inspire me - would be yours. Finally I found your CDs on the net. Now I work in my study, looking out across the sea, listening to your beautiful music. I've got heaven right here and now. Thanks Ray!!! |

This may sound silly, but I've spent the better part of my life looking for Celestial Soda Pop. The leader of an after school program I went to in elementary school played it very frequently, and since then I've heard it on and off and always wanted a copy of it. Most recently also at the Stone Mountain park like the previous poster. It's hard googling for instrumental songs though. Finally with some help from a friend [thanks carrotbat!] we tracked it down. Glad to have it finally! |

My Dear Mr. Lynch, I first heard your album Deep Breakfast, in 1984 while attending a lecture on a Course In Miracles in a church in Chicago. It was a terrible time in my life and I was struggling, searching for some way to get through what was happening at the time. The lecture went by the wayside but your album seemed to reach down into the inner reserves of my soul and start to lift it out of the mire that had contained it for so long. I really don't know how to describe the impact your music has had on my life without sounding trite or sappy. Each note seemed to resound in different parts of my psyche, awakening strengths I had never realized I had. Recently I have healed 6 herniated discs (a feat I was told by numerous doctors could not be done without surgery) through acupuncture and your music during each session. The acupuncture may have been the tool but your music was the force that facilitated the healing. As a matter of fact I had two The Sky Of Mind cds actually purloined by the staff at Loyola Hospital in Chicago. At first I was upset but in thinking about it, I realized how much they must have needed what I had received from your music. I have thanked you in my mind millions of times over these past 21 years, and find it awesome for me to be able to thank you in a way you may physically receive. May You Be Well and Peaceful, PK Shader |

My wife and kids fell asleep a while back, so I put in The No Blue Thing and listened to it. Every time I listen to your music, I think about my whole life and all existance. Your music helps me take my thoughts to different places and I realize myself a bit more deeper. I also appreciate that your music is very unique and that you gave each song it's own special attention with your talent. Thank you for dedicating your life to music, it has brought me a lot of happiness. Jerry McCollum |

I was blown away by Deep Breakfast. You have to find this stuff by accident because its rarely heard on radio where i live. When you do find something good like this there is a conflict between, on one hand, keeping it to yourself and friends and, on the other hand, wanting to see justice and credit to the artist by spreading the word. I could easily see your music in the sound track to fireworks spectaculars, but its too good for those uncouth beer swillers (who keep decent people away from those events). I work in some of the most remote parts of the planets surface ,and my preference for listening to your music is at night under the milky way. PS: I think Clannad's work is under appreciated too. |

Before my husband made his transition in Jan.1988 we always listened to your CD Deep Breakfast. After his transition I listed to Deep Breakfast and one from your Sky of Mind entitled The Temple. During meditation after memorial service, listening to The Temple I was shown my husband crossing the bridge to the otherside. When he reached the middle of the bridge friends, family, etc., came to meet him and take him home. Your music in Deep Breakfast has allowed me to travel to the highest mountain tops, into the forest to dwell by a stream where all the woodland creatures gathered around me, to the shore at both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans to watch the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Listening to Celestial Soda Pop and Tiny Geometries I fly out into the Universe and fly in and out of the rings of Neptune and Uranius. Whenever I am down I put Deep Breakfast and allow your music to soothe my soul. Your music comes from the soul. You are very blessed. hoping to hear more music soon. I will soon be 80 and who knows how many moons I will have, but I will wait patiently. mary alice gerken, impylyte@juno.com |

Dear Mr. Lynch, You've always been an inspiration to me. I first started listening to your music (Ray Lynch Best Of) at age 8. This event happily coincided with my discovery of my piano talents, and also my first music compositions. I think the first thing I did on the piano was make up a song. I was definitely inspired by your brilliant, fun, flowing music. I liked how the different lines interacted and combined to form one big--well, sound. I'm not sure what you would call each song. It's more like a feeling or emotion. Anyway, I love your music and thanks for reading this Eugene F. Thurston |

I watched be smitten by a buick going fifty. Jazz happens deeds are done but no man(Or woman) is ever the doer of any deed, our omniscient-omnipotent-and omnipresent Lord is the doer of all deed's. You probably know well by now that your music is a dazzling light in a dimmed world. If there is any way to keep the new music alive, or impart some source of your inspiration, please try. Dear Mr. Lynch, I am so greatful for the gifts you have given to this world. For the deep spiritual places that we get to go while listening to your music. My daughter Sabrina wrote to you concerning your piece Falling in the Garden. This piece of music has touched her life in such a way that there has been a remembering of something very special, so much so that she feels that this song has been with her all along. If you can tell us anything about the background and how you came to write this piece I would be so very greatful, it has very deep and far away meanings to her. You have opened manywindows in peoples' lives. Thank you, Terri Prince |

mr. lynch. you will never know much your music has helped me . the beings you have created fill me with life and remind me that we as a human species are connected and that we can help others even if it is only by creating something as what people call new age but you have created something that will heal from the soul level.it transcends the commercial and thing that people call music as a mainstream concept, there are times when i hear the first piece i heard from you that i come to tears and feel the emotion in me once more, even if its only but for a few minutes. i again have hope that we as a species will quite hurting each other and be one and it is my hope that your beatiful creations will be the soundtrack for it.peace and life be with you mr. lynch for i will hope and live for it so that you can create more. Humble receiver of your life giving music. JAMES W. RICHARDSON |

Ray, My son brought home 3 of your albums in the mid-90's and I thought they were interesting, much better than the other music he brought home. He has since moved out but I found he left his The Sky Of Mind CD here. Sounds good. We have a small recorder ensemble at our church that plays mostly Renaissance music for preludes and offertories. I'd like to try and adapt Good News and Pavane for a recorder quartet. I think it would sound very good. |

I have been listening to your music, Mr. Lynch, since Deep Breakfast was released. Your music is what got me into new age music. Your music is at once bouncy and melancholy. I am a for-ever fan. Thank you for your music. |

My wife and I are great fans of your music! We keep hoping that you will record a new CD with more of the sounds like Deep Breakfast and No Blue Thing. There is simply nothing else out there like that. We have found that it entrances very young listeners as well as older folks. More please! |

Dear Ray, I'am a lover of a variety of music, but your music is the kind that just mellows my mood, no matter the mood. I tend to have this happy/sad feeling when I here it sometimes, but the happy always tends to out weight the sad. Your variation of sound is brilliant, and I sure wish you would do a concert, because I would make every effort to be there.
Warm regards, Pam |

I have been a fan for the past 16 years, since I was a long haired teen luckily exposed to the taste of you Celestial Soda Pop when I was most accustomed to heavy metal. I have been looking forward to a new album since Nothing Above My Shoulders.... You are a wonderful, beautiful talent. Thank you. |

I got turned on to your music a few years ago, now its my turn to pass the sounds on to my students. Your music is played daily in my various classes. A song here and a song there, but they are all enjoyed by all (especially me and I never tire of them). Thanks. |
